Lembeh is the most famous place and best dive destination for macro stuff. Nothing for people who want to see the ‘Big Thing’ and great coral reefs. Go there if you simply want to see a concentration of small stuff. You can find all that strange creatures on one place. An amazing place for those who want to have a concentration of critters an funny creatures. Its that place for Macro Photographer.
The Muck Diving place with its dark volcanic sandy bottom is home of amazing animals like clownfish, different kind of shrimps, misc nudi branches, frogfishes, pipefish, nudibranchs, giant and pygmy seahorses, mimic octopus, wonderpus, crabs, cuttlefishes, worms, rhinopias, snake eel, gobies, razor fish, lion fishes, scorpion fishes, mandarin fish, electric clamp, ..

Lembeh is located in Indonesia on Sulawesi. You can reach this place via flight to Manado. Coming from Europe, a stop over in Singapore is a very good choice.
Diving Lembeh in combination with with the Bunaken island is an good choice as in contrast to Lembeh as the great muck dive site with all that small critters you can find in contrast on Bunaken great coral reefs with drop offs and the ‘big ones’.

Lembeh is located in Indonesia on north side of island Sulawesi. You can reach this place via flight from Singapore to Manado.

Best time to dive
Lembeh is a all year dive site, but Dec-Feb timeframe are the rainy months. As Lembeh is crowdy within the main season, off season is maybe the better choice as visibility is good enough for macro photography even during monsoon time and this area is not effected by the monsoon that much due to the special location
What can I see
it is the home of amazing animals like clownfish, crinoid shrimps, critters, nudi branches, small frogfish, pipefish, seahorses, nudibranchs, harlequin shrimp, mimic octopus.

How to go there
Coming from Europe it is the best to use Singapore as a Hub flying to Manado with e.g. the low cost airline Silk Air.
